As temperatures rise and the Mediterranean slowly begins to warm up again, life on the Costa Blanca naturally moves closer to the sea.
One of the greatest luxuries of living in this part of the Mediterranean is the incredible variety of beaches and hidden coves found along the coastline between Calpe, Benissa Costa and Moraira. The coves between Moraira and Calpecombine crystal-clear water, Mediterranean vegetation, dramatic cliffs and relaxed outdoor living in a way that perfectly defines the Costa Blanca lifestyle.
From Calpe to Moraira, every cove has its own personality, atmosphere and connection to the Mediterranean.

Coves Between Moraira and Calpe: Cala Calalga and Cala del Mallorquí
Starting from Calpe, the coastline immediately begins to reveal smaller and more natural coves surrounded by cliffs and open sea views.
Cala Calalga offers a peaceful atmosphere with calm water and a more relaxed environment away from the larger beaches of Calpe. Very close by, Cala del Mallorquí becomes one of the hidden gems of the coastline, known for its crystal-clear Mediterranean water and spectacular views towards the Peñón de Ifach.
These first coves already introduce the authentic Mediterranean character that defines the entire route towards Moraira.

Les Bassetes: Mediterranean Lifestyle by the Sea
Further south, Les Bassetes becomes one of the most vibrant and attractive coastal spots between Calpe and Benissa Costa.
More than simply a cove, Les Bassetes combines Mediterranean lifestyle, sport and gastronomy in a unique way. Its small marina, sailing school and water sports centre create an active atmosphere where kayaking, paddle surfing and sailing become part of everyday life during most of the year.
The area also features restaurants and terraces overlooking the sea, creating one of the most enjoyable places on the coastline to spend the day while surrounded by Mediterranean scenery and outdoor living.
Les Bassetes is also directly connected to the ecological coastal walk, making it one of the key points along the Benissa coastline.

Playa La Fustera and the Essence of Benissa Costa
Without doubt, Playa La Fustera has become one of the most iconic locations on the Benissa coastline.

Surrounded by Mediterranean villas, natural landscapes and turquoise water, La Fustera perfectly represents the relaxed and elegant atmosphere that defines this area of the Costa Blanca. The beach combines natural beauty with comfort, services and direct connection to the ecological walk that follows the coastline.
For many people, La Fustera captures exactly what contemporary Mediterranean living should feel like.

Cala Baladrar, Cala La Llobella and Cala dels Pinets
Continuing towards Moraira, the coastline becomes increasingly natural and authentic.
Cala Baladrar offers a peaceful pebble beach environment surrounded by cliffs and Mediterranean houses overlooking the sea.
Cala La Llobella is probably one of the wildest and most untouched coves in the area, with pine trees reaching almost to the sea itself and exceptionally clear water ideal for diving and swimming.
Nearby, Cala dels Pinets combines rock formations, small sandy areas and calm water, creating one of the most charming natural corners of the Benissa coastline.

Platgeta de l’Advocat and Cala Cap Blanc
As the route approaches Moraira, the landscape continues to alternate between rocky coves, Mediterranean cliffs and calm swimming areas.
Platgeta de l’Advocat is known for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful sea views, while Cala Cap Blanc offers a more untouched Mediterranean environment ideal for swimming, relaxing and enjoying the coastline in a quieter setting.

These smaller coves represent the more authentic and natural side of the Costa Blanca.
Cala L’Andragó and El Portet
Closer to Moraira, Cala L’Andragó introduces a more cosmopolitan Mediterranean atmosphere with restaurants, terraces and direct access to the sea.

And finally, El Portet remains one of the most iconic beaches on the entire Costa Blanca.
Its calm turquoise bay, elegant surroundings and Mediterranean charm make it one of the most desirable coastal locations for both residents and visitors.
