He believed the sun’s golden light was a blessing, and he would leave a small stone on the path as an offering. Over the years, a trail of stones led from the hills to the shore, guiding travelers with the promise of light and sea.
This house stands where the last stone rests, a home that honors the journey, embraces the breeze, and offers a view that connects the land with the endless horizon.
Summary
A Home Reborn from the Past
This house is the result of a complete transformation, an architectural rebirth where the past serves as the foundation for a future filled with light and harmony. Originally conceived with a distinct Mediterranean character—whitewashed walls, traditional terracotta roofs, and generous outdoor spaces—the house has been fully renovated to embrace a contemporary lifestyle while preserving its essence.
The existing structure provided a canvas upon which a sensitive, functional, and aesthetic architecture was projected. Large windows have been opened to flood the interiors with natural light, spaces have been reconfigured to create open, expansive rooms, and noble materials and natural finishes have been incorporated to dialogue seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
The original terrace, now reimagined, transforms into an oasis for outdoor living, featuring a redesigned pool, relaxation areas, an al fresco dining space, and lush greenery that envelops every corner. The curved staircase connecting the patio to the upper level has been reinterpreted as a sculptural element that adds dynamism and personality to the composition.
Indoors, once compartmentalized spaces now flow fluidly, visually connecting with the outdoors and incorporating warm textures and neutral tones that evoke Mediterranean serenity. The house has been reborn as a refuge where the essence of Mediterranean living thrives, enhanced by cutting-edge technology, modern comforts, and thoughtful design.
Here, every stone, every line, and every shadow speaks of both the past and the present, creating a space full of character and soul.
