Ferdinando Bernardi opens Casa Bernardi, his new project in Benissa

After leaving Orobianco (Calpe) a few months ago, where he was the chef for several years, during which time he achieved 1 Michelin star and 1 Sol Repsol, the Italian chef based in the province of Alicante had been working for months on his personal project, which began its journey at the end of December.

In a rural finca in the middle of nature surrounded by orchards, carob, olive and almond trees and overlooking the sea, Casa Bernardi will bring Italian tradition and flavours to this privileged corner of Alicante's Mediterranean. Fishermen and farmers will be a fundamental part of the value chain of Casa Bernardi, which is identified with the zero kilometre philosophy and sustainability.

Its gastronomic proposal will be based on a simple menu and two tasting menus (Primi Passi, 58€ -also available in a vegetarian version- and Identitá, 75€) in which the diner will find iconic dishes of the Italian chef such as his Risotto ai funghi and white shrimp, his Unctuous cod, Raw meat a la Rossini, Agnolotto of Tail, Saffron and Chocolate and, of course, desserts such as his Tiramisu. All of this in a friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere with two different spaces: its interior dining room or its bright terrace with views of the sea and the majestic Peñón de Ifach.
